Ying Fu has been working in the field of biotechnology, mostly focused on nano biophotonics, based on semiconductor nanotechnology.

* QD-based noninvasive bioimaging, QD biomarkers
* Exciton and surface plasmon polaritons for low-loss subwavelength light control
* Nanostructures for efficient wideband lighting source and solar energy
